Rental Requirements: For the rental requirements, the renters should be able to offer the following:
- A valid driving license
- Authorized credit card
- Copy of passport with visa page
NOTE:An imprint of the credit card is taken and the security amount is blocked on picking up of your vehicle as a measure of security.
Age: The minimum age of the renter should be 21 during the time of renting the car.
Driving license: The drivers should carry a driving license which is locally accepted. The UAE licenses are only allowed for the residents of the country completing a year from the day or date of issue. The visitors are supported to receive their international driving license before arriving to UAE.
Fuel:The car hirer is required to return the vehicle in the same amount of fuel in which it was given. Otherwise the hirer is charged with the price of the fuel along with a service charge.
Accidents: In case of an accident or damage caused to the car, you need to notify the police immediately. Getting a report from the police is mandatory in such an event; if not, you will be deemed as responsible for bearing the total cost of the damage on the car or vehicle.
Excess of Insurance: The customer should be held responsible for settling their deductible amount or Excess of Insurance which is listed in the company’s Vehicle Hire Agreement if there is any loss or damage (or theft or fire) caused to your vehicle provided it is operated, driven, or used along with the terms of the Vehicle Hire Agreement. It is compulsory to have a validated police report.
CDW the Collision Damage Waiver or SDW Super Damage Waiver are discretionary waivers of the responsibility of the client to pay for any of the damages or loss of usage or any of the related costs and expenditures which result from damage to or collision with the rented or hired vehicle. The policy waiver can be bought during the starting of the rental car and applies only when it is listed as an additional charge on your Vehicle Hire Agreement or when it is supported with a validated police report. If the hirer is not able to produce the original police report, they is held responsible for total costs of repair or damages involving third party costs.
Personal Accident Insurance: The aim of the Personal Accident Insurance is to bring secure driving to your experience. Personal Accident Insurance is also offered which allows to be purchased at an extra cost. It covers both the passengers as well as the driver. (However, there are several conditions which apply).
Hit and Run Policy: If there is an accident met by the renter and they receive a police report specifying the hit and run, irrespective of whether they are faulty or not, they are likely to pay 100% of the insurance amount to Dollar Rent a Car as enumerated in the Vehicle Hire agreement. In case the client opts in for the SDW, the clause is not applicable. Getting a police statement is compulsory.
Oman Insurance: If the car hirer travels to Oman, they are required to receive an Oman Insurance Certificate from any Dollar branch in the UAE. The charges are likely to vary on the basis of the vehicles, period and time of hire.
Additional Drivers: You can add another driver at extra charges, considering that they fulfill the necessary requirements.
Violations of Traffic: The drivers need to follow traffic rules and other regulations. If there is traffic fine, you are charged 10% additional amount for including administration costs.
Collection and Delivery: To ensure convenience, we can help collect and deliver your cars or vehicles exactly your doorstep against a charge.
Salik: All the cars are installed with the Salik sticker. It is Dhs. 5 for every passage at the toll gates.
Payments: The clients are likely to pay in terms of credit or cash for the rental. (PS: A credit card is required for purposes of security). Debit cards do not qualify for ensuring security.
Airport Charges: All the vehicles hired in the airport counters are charged with airport parking fees. To avoid the parking fees, you can return the rented vehicles to any of the non airport locations between 8 am and 5 pm Saturday to Thursday.
